Come to Stratford early and stay late! Construction delays may be significant in summer 2019 so be sure not to miss out on any fun!

Hwy 7: Adding a round-about at Line 26 between Stratford and St. Marys/London/401 W

Exits from this roundabout to Line 26 are now closed. This first phase of construction should not significantly affect through traffic on Hwy 7; however, from July 2nd until October, the roundabout will be closed to all traffic. Detours will be signposted, and drivers should allow extra time to follow them.

Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

Welcome to our Open Kitchen!

Spring and summer cooking classes and learning experiences devoted to the dedicated home cook. No matter your skill, there is something for everyone! 

Classes are held at the SCS Kitchens: 136 Ontario Street, Stratford

Trade Secrets

Intensive workshops focused on a cooking technique, dish or product. Subjects include Pasta, Bread, Preserving, Pastry, Wine and more.

Get Cooking!

Intensive workshops focused on themed recipes followed by an opportunity to enjoy your creations. Subjects include Brunch, Vegetarian, and International Cuisines.

Open Kitchen + Bradshaws

Learn proper knife storage and care along with classic cutting techniques that will up elevate your cooking skills. Leave  these classes feeling empowered and ready to slice, dice and chop your way to a fantastic meal at home!

How Do I Use That?

Informative workshops dedicated to demonstrating how to use new-to-you kitchen tools and gadgets. An opportunity to try before you buy. Subjects include Pressure Cookers, Immersion Circulators, Spiral Slicers and Mandolins.

Team Building & Private Events

Social and educational hands on cooking events for groups of 15 to 32 allow guests to cook alongside friends and colleagues. (Only available on select dates from mid-March to the end of September.)

Professional Program & Dining Series

Since 1983, the Stratford Chefs School has set the standard of excellence for culinary training in Canada graduating over 750 alumni who now contribute to our distinctive Canadian cuisine. 

Between October and March each year, the School is proud to offer our celebrated Dinner Series. As part of their training, students rotate through kitchen positions to produce new menus daily under the guidance of the School's faculty of esteemed local chefs and guest chefs from across Canada and around the world.

Dinner is served Tuesday to Saturday (While school is in session).

Dinner Seatings: 6:30pm, 6:45pm, or 7:00pm
